You have the right to oppose at any time the processing of your data, which we provide to our legitimate interest according to art. 6 para 1 lit. f DSGVO to file an objection. If you exercise your right of objection, we ask you to explain the reasons. Regardless of the foregoing, you have the right at all times to object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of advertising and data analysis.

Please address your objection to the contact address of the responsible person indicated above.

When will we delete your data?

We will delete your data if we no longer need it or if you tell us to do so. This means that – unless otherwise stated in the individual data protection statements of this data protection declaration – we delete your data,

  • if the purpose of the data processing has ceased and the respective legal basis mentioned in the individual data protection notices no longer exists, i.e.
    • after termination of the existing contractual or member relationships between us (Art. 6 para 1 lit. a GDPR) or
    • after our legitimate interest in the further processing or storage of your data has ceased (Art. 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR),
  • if you exercise your right of withdrawal and no other legal basis for the processing in the sense of Art. 6 par. 1 lit. b-f DSGVO intervenes,
  • if you exercise your right of objection and do not oppose the deletion of any compelling reasons worthy of protection.

However, if we still have to keep (certain parts) your data for other purposes, for example because this requires tax retention periods (usually 6 years for business correspondence or 10 years for booking documents) or the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims arising from contractual relationships (up to four years) or the data is needed to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, we will delete (the part) your data only after expiry of these periods. Until these deadlines expire, however, we limit the processing of this data to these purposes (fulfilment of storage obligations).

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files consisting of a series of numbers and letters that are stored and stored on the device you use. Cookies are primarily used to exchange information between the device you use and our website. This includes, among other things, the language settings on a website, the login status or the place where a video was viewed.

When visiting our websites, two types of cookies are used:

  • Temporary cookies (session cookies): These store a so-called session ID, with which different requests of your browser can be assigned to the common session. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
  • Permanent cookies: Permanent cookies remain stored even after closing the browser. This means that our website recognizes your computer when you return to our website. These cookies store, for example, information about language settings or log-in information. In addition, these cookies can be used to document and store your surfing behavior. This data can be used for statistical, marketing and personalization purposes.

In addition to the above classification, cookies can also be distinguished with regard to their purpose:

  • Necessary Cookies: These are cookies that are absolutely necessary for the operation of our website to store logins or shopping carts for the duration of your session or cookies that are set for security reasons.
  • Statistics, marketing and personalization cookies: These are cookies that are used for analysis purposes or range measurement. Such "tracking" cookies can in particular store information about entered search terms or the frequency of page views. In addition, the surfing behavior of an individual user (e.g. viewing certain content, use of functions, etc.) can also be stored in a user profile. Such profiles are used to show users content that corresponds to their potential interests. If we use services that store cookies on your device for statistical, marketing and personalization purposes, we will inform you separately in the following sections of our data protection declaration or as part of obtaining your consent.

Data concerned:

  • Usage data (e.g. access times, clicked websites)

Legitimate interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR

If we do not obtain your consent to the setting of cookies, we base the processing of your data on our legitimate interest in improving the quality and user-friendliness of our website, in particular the content and functions. Via the security settings of your browser, you have to object to the use of cookies set by us within the scope of our legitimate interest. There you have the option to specify whether you accept no cookies from the outset or only on request or whether you specify that cookies are deleted after each closing of your browser. If cookies are deactivated for our website, all functions of the website may no longer be fully used.

Consent, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR
If we ask you before you visit our website to be able to set certain cookies on your device and you agree to this, the consent given by you is the legal basis. We inform you as part of the consent about which cookies we set in detail. If you do not give this consent, only the so-called technically necessary cookies are set, which are necessary for the proper operation of our websites and their presentation in your browser. If you have consented to the setting of cookies, you have the opportunity to revoke our consent at any time.

Web analysis and statistics

In order to record and statistically evaluate the visitor flows on our website, we use web analysis services. Such services collect, among other things, data about which website you have accessed our website (so-called referrers), which pages of our website you have accessed, how long you have visited our pages and what interactions you have made there. In addition, data is collected for the browser, computer system and device type used by you. In addition, demographic information such as age or gender can also be recorded as pseudonymous values via such a service. If you have consented to the collection of your location data, these can also be processed, depending on the provider.

In order to collect and store this data, the web analysis service we use usually sets a cookie on the device you use, with which the IP address assigned to you is also collected. However, this is shortened via a so-called IP masking procedure, so that the IP address can no longer be assigned to your visit to our website. Incidentally, no clear data such as names or e-mail addresses are stored. Neither we nor the service we use knows the identity of visitors to our websites.

We would like to point out that depending on the country of residence of the service provider mentioned below, the data collected through the service can be transferred and processed outside the European Union. In this case, there is a risk that the data protection level prescribed by the GDPR will not be complied with and the enforcement of your rights will not or will only be difficult.

In addition, we use the respective service on the basis of our legitimate interest to analyze the visitor flows of our websites in order to be able to continuously improve the functions, offers and the user experience, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

When using Matomo, the data collected via the analysis tool is not transmitted to the service provider, but rather remains on our server. In addition, no cookies are used in the variant we use. Rather, recurring users are recognized with the help of a so-called "digital fingerprint". This is stored anonymously and changed every 24 hours. Conclusions about the identity of individual users are not possible.

The third-party plugins we use

We have plugins on our website in the form of. "Social media buttons" of the providers we use. Which plugin belongs to which provider, you can recognize by the respective logo with which the plugin is marked. We have deactivated the social media plugins on our website by default, so that when our pages are accessed, data is not automatically transmitted to the provider of the plugin. For this we use the so-called Shariff solution. Only when you click on the "Social Media Button" of the respective provider will the collection of information and its transmission to the provider be triggered. If you click on one of these buttons, data can be sent to the operator of the social network even if you do not have an account there or have an account there, but are not logged in at the moment of visiting our website.
